[Begins abruptly.] The program host, who is not named, introduces Meredith Monk; Meredith Monk introduces and sings her first selections, from what she calls Songs from the hill [Monk released an album of that name in 1979]; Monk introduces and sings her next selections, A little lullaby; Bird, and Breath; Monk introduces and performs several piano and voice works including a 1972 solo from [Education of the] girlchild and what she refers to as Paris piano pieces, from 1971 [intermission; announcements].
