- José Limón speaks about the close relationship between music and dance, with examples drawn from the music of Johann Sebastian Bach; the selection and use of music by Doris Humphrey, Isadora Duncan, Martha Graham, Leonide Massine, Antony Tudor, and Agnes de Mille; an anecdote about his wife [Pauline Lawrence] playing the accompaniment at a dance rehearsal; the difficulty of agreeing with the musicians on the tempo; his experiences with composers and musicians, including Villa-Lobos; Arnold Schoenberg; Paul Hindemith; Simon Sadoff; and Kodály; concluding remarks [ends abruptly].
