Ted Shawn introduces the third program of the Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival (Santa Fe Opera Ballet), with remarks about the dancer and choreographer Thomas Andrew, in particular his work with the Santa Fe Opera Ballet, and the works to be danced by the company [short gap and applause]. Ted Shawn introduces the fifth program of the Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival (A fiesta of Spanish dance) including his remarks about Spanish dance. [At approximately 19:20 minutes and 35:17 minutes, respectively, into the recording, Ted Shawn introduces the programs of the sixth and seventh weeks. However, the sound quality of these sections is so poor as to render them unintelligible almost in their entirety.]

- Ted Shawn's curtain speeches at the 1962 Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, on the respective opening nights of the programs presented in the third week (July 10 - July 14; Santa Fe Opera Ballet), the fifth week (July 24- 28; A fiesta of Spanish dance), the sixth week (July 31-August 4; Sonia Arova and Job Sanders; Myra Kinch and Company), and the seventh week (August 7-11; Sonia Arova and Job Sanders; Hernan Baldrich; Carmen de Lavallade & Company). However, the sound quality of the recording of Shawn's speeches at the sixth and seventh week programs is so poor as to render them unintelligible almost in their entirety.

- The sound quality ranges from fair to very poor. The recording is marred by static throughout. The section from approximately 19:20 minutes to the end (the speeches relating to the programs of the sixth and seventh weeks) is almost completely unintelligible.
