Suki Schorer speaks with Elizabeth Kendall about her family background and early dance training; performing with the San Francisco Ballet; the circumstances of her joining New York City Ballet; her early years at the company; George Balanchine as a teacher including his approach to music; Melissa Hayden; briefly, Allegra Kent and Violette Verdy; Diana Adams [ends abruptly but continues on disc 2].
