John Gruen, host, introduces Sallie Wilson; Sallie Wilson and Gruen speak about her upcoming performance in Agnes de Mille's Three virgins and a devil and (briefly) working with De Mille; her role as Lizzie Borden in De Mille's Fall River legend [a recording of an excerpt from Ottorino Respighi's Ancient airs and dances (Antiche danze ed arie) used in the ballet Three virgins and the devil is played]; her role as Hagar in Antony Tudor's ballet Pillar of fire; working with Antony Tudor [a recording of an excerpt of music from Les noces (Svadebka), by Igor Stravinsky, is played]; working with Jerome Robbins in his ballet Les noces including an anecdote about Robbins, Lucia Chase and a craps game in the hall; her position at American Ballet Theatre including her thoughts about guest artists; Wilson as a dancer [a recording of the music by Arnold Schönberg (Verklärte Nacht) used in Pillar of fire is played; ends abruptly].
