Minée speaks with Elinor Rogosin about her dancing at the Egyptian Gardens night club in New York City; her singing career in Turkey; how she learned belly dance (known as Oriental dance in Turkey); her audiences, including the greater understanding now that it is an art form; the music and the instruments used; the great increase in American belly dancers at the club compared to about five years ago.
