Seminar on The sleeping beauty, recorded on June 4, 1987 at the Bruno Walter Auditorium, New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, Lincoln Center, New York (N.Y.) The seminar was co-sponsored by the Dance Critics Association and the Dance Collection [now Dance Division] of the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. This seminar was the opening session of a conference entitled Two by Two: partnering and pas de deux, held on June 5 and 6, 1987. There is no audio available for the rest of the conference. The 1955 film referred to in streaming audio file 4 is cataloged in the Library's collection as *MGZIC 9-4011. The recording also includes material unrelated to the seminar: an interview (on streaming audio file 1 through streaming audio file 3) that seems to be the interview with Sophie Maslow cataloged in the Library's collection as *MGZTL 4-472 as well as an interview (on streaming audio file 10) with Carla Fracci. The Carla Fracci interview does not otherwise appear in the Library's collection.
Sound quality ranges from good (in general, in the case of the speakers) to poor (in general, in the case of the questions from the audience, which, however, are often repeated or summarized by the moderator).
