Produced in France by Claude Jaeger. Summary: Two comic vignettes performed by the Peking Opera troupe: A comedy ballet of errors (two men fight in a pitch black room), and An episode enroute on a journey by a beautiful lady (a boatman and passenger in a boat). - Dance squared. 1962. (4 min.) Produced by the National Film Board of Canada. Animation and direction: René Jodoin. Music: Maurice Blackburn. Summary: Animated geometric shapes divide, subdivide, and gyrate within the traditional patterns of a square dance to the tune of a country fiddle. - Freddie's bag. 1972. (ca. 26 min.) Choreography: Lar Lubovitch. Sound: collage of radio programs. Adapted for television by the choreographer. Performed by Lar Lubovitch and Ernest Pagnano. Introduced by an interview between host Robert Sherman and Lar Lubovitch who talks about his career and his adaptation of Freddie's bag for television.
