- Summary
- A modern revolutionary dance drama set in Hopeh Province, Northwest China, in the years 1935-38. Hsi-erh, whose father Yang is unable to pay his debts, is forced to work as bondsmaid for the landlord Huang Shih-jen. Cruelly treated, she escapes into the wilderness where her sufferings turn her hair white. Rescued by her fiancé Wang Ta-chun who now fights with the Eighth Route Army, Hsi-erh joins the army and goes forth to carry on the revolution.

Cast: Mao Wei-fang (Hsi-erh, a young peasant girl), Shih Chung-chin (Hsi-erh, the white-haired girl), Tang Hsi-yin (Yang Pai-lao, her father, a poor peasant), Ling Kwei-ming (Wang Ta-chun, her fiancé), Wang Kuo-chun (Huang Shih-jen, the landlord), and Hsu-chin (Auntie Chang).
