Summary
Billie Mahoney interviews Selma Jeanne Cohen, dance scholar and historian. After receiving her Ph.D. in English literature, she came to New York where her first job was with the Dance Notation Bureau, editing their publications. She discusses her work as a dance critic and as editor of Dance perspectives; the new International encyclopedia of dance of which she is editor; college courses in dance history and aesthetics which she has taught; her latest book, Next week, Swan lake.
