Summary

Dance author and editor Nancy Reynolds recalls how she began taking ballet lessons with Tanaquil LeClercq at about age 11; despite strong parental opposition, she joined the corps of New York City Ballet, but retired after five years; attended Columbia University and graduated with a major in art history; worked in a publishing house as art editor, which led to dance editing; was contracted by New York City Ballet to document their repertoire, which opened the path for her to become the dance author that she is today.
