- Summary
- A program of Renaissance music and dance. The dances have been reconstructed from 16th century treatises of Fabrizio Caroso, Cesare Negri, and Thoinot Arbeau. Part I, Of the manner in which ladies and gentlemen should comport themselves in the ballroom and outside it, includes the dances Bellezze d'Olimpia, La gamba, Tedescha (?), Laura Soave, and La battaglia. Part II comprises dances, music, and poetry of Shakespeare's time and concludes with La volta.
