- A documentary on the 1976 Spoleto (Italy) Festival of Two Worlds and on plans for its American counterpart, Spoleto U.S.A., to be held in 1977 in Charleston, South Carolina. Includes interviews with Gian-Carlo Menotti, founder of the festivals, Christopher Keene, conductor, Charles Wadsworth, and others. Very brief excerpts are shown from performances by the Stuttgart Ballet (in The rite of spring), the Zulu Folk Theater, and Mummenschanz.
