- Summary
- The 62-year-old song-and-dance man Alfredo Gustar is seen in his New York studio coaching young students and demonstrating the movements, syncopation, and rhythm required of a tap dancer. Joined by 11-year-old Marcy Stitt he recreates his 1940's tap number, Hickory stick, from the Duke Ellington musical Jump for joy, and concludes with a lyrical ballroom ballet on a New York rooftop in which he is joined by Carol Hess.
