- Summary
- Anna Halprin discusses her personal exploration of movement and expression; describes her background in modern dance at the University of Wisconsin, her exposure to artists of the Bauhaus school, her work in San Francisco, her use of improvisation; explains the development of her "movement ritual" which broke away from the traditions of modern dance and the concept of "specific images", a method of graphic visualization which Halprin believes allowed her to diagnose and perhaps cure herself of cancer.
