- Summary
- Compilation of fourteen excerpts from newsreels produced by Paramount News and others, focusing on popular social dances of the 1930s through the 1950s. Filmed mainly in the U.S., though Australia, England, and Germany are also represented. Several excerpts depict the Harvest Moon Ball and other dance competitions. Motion is frequently speeded up, particularly in footage of the jitterbug and lindy hop.
