- Summary
- Documentary about an Eskimo Dance Awareness Festival held in the village of Chevak, Alaska, in March 1984. The organizer, John Pingay (?), talks about the aims and results of the festival, which brought together the members of five communities. Students and adults from Chevak, Hooper Bay, and Newtok are seen performing traditional Eskimo dances and participating in the revival of other Eskimo customs, such as the ritual butchering of a seal and the blanket toss.
