Summary
Documentary about Yup'ik Antigone, a Yup'ik Eskimo version of Sophocles' tragedy adapted by David Hunsaker and acted by Yup'ik actors. The play is seen in preparation in the actors' hometown of Toksook Bay, Alaska, and Hunsaker and the actors discuss its relevance to Yup'ik culture. The documentary also records the company's performances in 1984 at the Théâtre des Nations festival in Nancy and at La Mama E.T.C. in New York.
