- Summary
- Documentary about a Yup'ik Eskimo potlatch (gift-giving celebration) given by the people of St. Mary's, Alaska, for guests from a neighboring village, Point Station. The documentary opens with an interview with Jimmie Paukan, an elderly resident of St. Mary's, who describes potlatch celebrations of the past. The potlatch itself is then depicted, including the distribution of gifts, singing and drumming, and dancing by people of all ages.
