  • Inscribed lower left: #1 Gorst. Inscribed lower right: #2 Horn. Costume designs for Helen Gorst and Catherine Horn as Local Ladies in Antony Tudor's ballet Offenbach in the underworld, premiered by Ballet Theatre, April 18, 1956.
  • Two full-length female figures. The one on the left wears a blue dress with white ruffled petticoat and black tights with high-top boots. Her headpiece is a yellow and orange bonnet. The figure on the right wears a plum-colored dress, low-cut bodice with straps, and a plumed turquoise and blue hat. She also wears black tights with high-top boots, and a bit of red garter is revealed. Details about the costumes are inscribed all over the design, including a small pencil sketch of the costume on the right.
