- SUMMARY: The return of two exiles to their home in South Africa is told through dialogue, singing, dancing, and drumming. The performance includes: Siyababiza (prayer for the return of the exiles) and Sagaya (preparation for their return); Duma, child of my mother (memorial for the relatives who have died in their absence); Bukhalibezembe (a pot of Zulu beer is passed from hand to hand in celebration); Siyajabula (rejoicing in the reunion); Ikhalaphi (warriors' chant commemorating the Soweto riots of 1976); Umqhobosho (celebration dance from Zulu); solo dance by Thuli Dumakude, combining movements from Zulu, Xhosa, and Sotho dances; Isibhaca (Bhaca harvest celebration); Uye uye (thanksgiving to the creator and the ancestors).
