- Unsigned costume design for Henry Purcell's opera Dido and Aeneas, in a production premiered by the English Opera Group, May 1, 1951 at the Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith. Annotation on the right: Act 2. Mariner. Various instructions about the costume. Inscribed lower right: Norman Bird.
- Depicts male figure, full-length to slight right. He wears a brown belted jacket over blue knee-pants and black boots. He is bearded and has a beret on his head. Fabric swatch and paint samples in blue and brown attached.
