- Summary
- Panorama of camp activities, among them dancing, singing, instrumental music, and cooking, interspersed with statements from the camp's organizers, instructors, and participants. Basia Dziewanowska, the camp director, discusses her interest in the Polish heritage, which led her to start the camp; her mother Ada Dziewanowska, an expert in Polish folk dancing, traces the development of the camp's activities. Excerpts from numerous folk dances are shown, usually recorded in the studio with the dancers in informal clothes. These include a Christmas street play from Slask, with masked figures; krakowiak; czardasz slaski; od buczka do buczka; świniok; szpacyr polka, danced in costume by Zofia Marcinek and partner; przeworska; kujawiak; mazur; and oberek.
