- Summary
- After an introduction by Coles, members of the Jazz Tap Ensemble, both dancers and musicians, contribute to a lecture-demonstration on tap dancing and jazz music. Dance excerpts include: 'Bout a mile, danced by Dally and Strickler; Spoon river, danced by Dally; a duet danced by Richman and Arslanian; and group dances by Coles and the Ensemble. Terry and Arslanian also illustrate a talk on musical polyrhythms with a combination of hand clapping, slapping, and stamping.
