- Inscribed across the top of design: I partie Mozart/papillon jaune. Inscribed upper left: 6. Additional sheet (28 x 20.5 cm.) with annotations in French for construction is joined to design.
- Costume rendering for First movement : sunrise of George Balanchine's Mozart violin concerto, premiered August 7, 1942 by Ballet of the Teatro Colón, Buenos Aires.
- Depicted are two female figures, one facing front and the other seen in backview. They both wear yellow tutus with dark blue decoration. Elaborate butterfly wings are attached to each wrist and this motif is carried out in the dark blue headpieces. The wings are clearly shown in figure on the left.
