Summary
Documentary on the Eddie Torres Latin Dance Company and its struggle for success. Torres is seen in b&w footage, dancing in a studio, as he describes his dream of bringing Latin American dancing, especially the mambo, to the stage. Interviews with company members are interspersed with rehearsal footage. The company is seen auditioning for bandleader Tito Puente, and, five months later, performing with his band at the Apollo Theater in New York.
