- SUMMARY: Videotaped in the studio on April 9, 1981 by Hilary Harris. Class in modern dance technique taught by May O'Donnell, who points out its connections to and continuity with the classes of the early years, particularly those of Martha Graham. The class emphasizes contraction and release and the use of the floor, and progresses from floor work to center to moving across the floor. O'Donnell's three demonstrators perform a brief piece choreographed by her at the end of the class.
