Summary
Part of a series of interviews with former members of major modern dance and ballet companies. Jennifer Muller recalls her early training and her experiences in the companies of Pearl Lang, José Limon, and Louis Falco; she also describes the challenges of running her own company, Jennifer Muller and the Works. Marjorie Mussman, now a freelance choreographer, talks about her experiences as a member of the Limón company and the Joffrey Ballet, and compares the worlds of modern dance and ballet. Both comment upon the current state of dance and their interaction, as choreographers, with their dancers. A brief excerpt from Muller's Beach (music: Burt Alcantara, costumes: Gretchen Warren), recorded at the Delacorte Theater, New York, is shown. A color advertisement for Arc Videodance, describing its facilities and offerings, ends the tape.
