- Summary
- Guests are Henry Young, director of Communication through Arts; writer/publicist Ellen Jacobs; and Richard Mittenthal, program officer of New York Community Trust. The guests discuss various means by which dance companies can increase their earned income. They give advice to proposal writers applying for corporate and government grants, but also stress the need for independent efforts such as subscription campaigns and shared seasons. Good publicity is recognized as a means of reaching potential donors as well as audiences. Betty Low's Esoterica balletica presents an anecdote about Irina Baronova and Paul Petroff during a tour by the Original Ballet Russe.
