Former dancers Jo Ellen Grzyb, Ellen Jacob, and Mara Greenberg discuss their experiences with second or alternate careers. They encourage dancers to pursue outside interests or to consider alternative careers while still performing, and suggest ways in which dance companies and organizations can help, citing the Dancers' Resettlement Fund in England as an example. In conclusion, an excerpt of Jacob's appearance on the Phil Donahue Show is shown. Betty Low's commentary Esoterica balletica presents some anecdotes about touring with the Original Ballet Russe under the management of Sol Hurok.
