Summary
Choreographers Mimi Garrard, Susan Salinger, and Karen Bernard discuss the integration of sculpture, props, lighting, slide projections, and film into choreography. Salinger discusses the cinematic approach to choreography embodied in her work Frames and sequences, and Garrard describes her experiments with gravity in her film Flux. Recorded excerpts depict Salinger's Chops, Garrard's Epicycles and Capriccio, and Bernard's Dwelling. In Esoterica balletica, Gwen Krause presents some exercises for dancers earning their livings as office temporaries or waiters.
