- 1 videocassette (U-matic, NTSC) (29 min.) : sd., col.; 3/4 in.
- Summary
- Elisa Monte and Arnie Zane, known for the athletic demands of their choreography, enumerate the qualities they seek in their dancers, and discuss the value of ballet and modern dance training. Other elements of their work include the elimination of traditional gender roles, Zane's use of contact improvisation, and the influence of sports (martial arts, ice skating). Monte's Pigs and fishes and Zane's Freedom of information, choreographed with Bill T. Jones, are shown in recorded excerpts.
