Summary
Morris dancers Sarah Henry and John Dexter talk about various aspects of morris and sword dances, including their ritual nature, the participation of men and women, costumes, special roles (fool, hobbyhorse, green man, madwoman, etc.), and music. They pay tribute to Cecil Sharp, who helped revive the tradition of morris dancing. Henry performs a sword dance with members of the Half Moon Sword Dance Team and a morris dance called The keeper with the Ring-a-bell Morris Dance Team. Dexter and Jim Stevenson (?) perform "I'll go enlist for a sailor," a double jig.
