Summary
Performance artists John Kelly, Huck Snyder, and Lee Nagrin discuss the integral role that visual images play in their mixed media works. They discuss how these images can convey a sense of the unity of the arts, and express dreams and the unconscious. Snyder and Kelly also note the affinity between their works and silent movies. Excerpts of their works include Snyder's Circus; Kelly's Pass the blutwurst, bitte (b&w and color) and Born with the moon in Cancer; Snyder and Kelly's Diary of a somnambulist; and Nagrin's Bird/bear.
