- Description
- 1 videocassette (U-matic, NTSC) (29 min.) : sd., col. with b&w sequences; 3/4 in.
- Summary
- Guests are six young dance students: Darren Gibson, the first graduate of the New Ballet School to join the Feld Ballet; Rebecca Metzger and Robert Lyon, School of American Ballet students who received the first Mae L. Wien Memorial Awards; Efrain Bracero, a student at the Dance Theatre of Harlem school; Angela Zieziulewicz, a student of the Joffrey Ballet's American Ballet Center; and Sant'gria Bello, a student at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center. Recordings depict classes at the School of American Ballet, the Ailey school, and the New Ballet School. In addition, Metzger is seen dancing a variation from Balanchine's Divertimento no. 15, and Lyon is seen working in the studio in excerpts from Virginia Brook's 1987 film School of American Ballet: Mae L. Wien Memorial Awards. Bello is seen in a studio performance at the Ailey school, and Gibson is seen performing in Feld's Harbinger with the Feld Ballet.
