Guests are Theodora Skipitares, a performer who constructs and creates works for life-size puppets, and Ralph Lee, a mask and puppet artist who directs the Mettawee River Theatre Company. They discuss the reasons for incorporating puppets and masks into their performances, construction and performance techniques, the importance of collaboration, and some themes treated by their performances. Their puppets and masks are seen in action in excerpts from Skipitares's Defenders of the code, Marie Curie, A dance of noses, and Charles Darwin; and Lee's The moss men, Fenga, and Wildman.
