Summary
Choreographer David Parsons and performance artist Paul Zaloom, interviewed separately, talk about the benefits and problems of touring. Parsons, who heads his own company, also discusses the responsibilities of directorship, and the importance of performing in New York. Excerpts of his works Caught, Brothers (created with Daniel Ezralow), The envelope, and Threshold are screened. Zaloom describes his own special brand of satire, illustrated by excerpts from his one-man show House of horrors, contrasts the responses of rural and urban audiences, and comments upon the paucity of political satire performers in the U.S.
