Summary
Television program focusing on the achievements of deaf people. Of special interest to dancers is the tribute to actor/dancer Sam Edwards, beginning at approx. 24 min. into the tape. Edwards, who died of AIDS in 1989, was a member of the Gallaudet Dance Company and the National Theatre of the Deaf, and appeared in musical comedy. Also on the program are Lethal hands (beginning at approx. 21 min. into tape), featuring karate practitioner Mary "Patty" Lord, and interviews with the operator of a mailbox business, a writer, the owners of a computer store, and a survivor of the attack on Pearl Harbor.
