Summary
A video by Nam June Paik, incorporating special effects, animation, and a kaleidoscope of excerpts of his works and those by Charles Atlas, Steven Beck, Betsy Connors, Shigeko Kubota, Joan Logue, Laurie Spiegel, Stan VanDerBeek, Jane Veeder, and Jud Yalkut. Among the personalities who appear on camera are Ryuichi Sakamoto, Yalkut, Charlotte Moorman, Sun Ock Lee, John Cage, Judith Malina, Julian Beck, Joseph Beuys, Laurie Anderson, Merce Cunningham, and Allen Ginsberg. Excerpts of Paik's works include TV garden, TV bra for living sculpture, On Guadalcanal Island, V-yramid, Tokyo matrix, Video fish, and Robot K456. Other performance excerpts include VanDerBeek in Violence sonata, breakdancing in the streets of New York, Cage's Chance and random composition, and the Living Theatre in Paradise now.
