- Summary
- Unedited footage of interviews with American Ballet Theatre personnel: ballet master Jürgen Schneider, dancer Jonas Kage, tour manager Bentley Roton, and artistic director Lucia Chase. Schneider discusses the brevity of a dancer's career, the difficulties of touring, and the duties of a ballet master. Kage talks about dancing in Mikhail Baryshnikov's Don Quixote, in which he alternated with Baryshnikov in the role of Basil, and discusses second careers for dancers. Roton describes the duties of a tour manager and the logistics of moving scenery and personnel. Chase reminisces about the early years of Ballet Theatre, and talks about the importance of discipline in a ballet company and the financial difficulties of touring.
