- Summary
- Guidance for the professional and the layperson on incorporating dance into religious worship. The interviewees, who include a child choreographer and a blind dancer, discuss different types of religious dance and the occasions on which it may be performed, the church's traditional attitudes towards the body and how they may be reconciled with dancing, the special qualities and goals of religious dance, choreographic sources (among them ethnic dance and improvisation), and dance for different members of the congregation, including children and the physically challenged.
