- Overview of Scottish country dancing, with special reference to the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society. The historical background of Scottish country dancing is illustrated by dances performed in costumes of various periods. Characteristic steps and formations are demonstrated by students and experienced dancers. In conclusion, three dances exemplifying basic techniques and formations are performed.
