- Candid snapshot photographs in album, with ms. captions in ink, chiefly in German.
- The photographs, dated June 23, 1913 through October 1914, document a European visit of Temple Duncan, her father Augustin Duncan, stepmother Margherita Sargent Duncan, and baby stepbrother Angus Duncan. Included are photographs taken at Elizabeth Duncan's School at Marienhöhe in Darmstadt, Germany (1913), at Isadora Duncan's school in Bellevue-sur-Seine near Paris (1914), and during trips to Corsica, Monte Carlo, and Berlin. Many of the shots depict the Duncan pupils Irma, Erica, Lisa, Theresa, Margot, and Anna as well as other acquaintances. The album concludes with a section on the family's return voyage to New York in September 1914 at the outbreak of World War I, accompanied by the the six Isadorables, and various views of the girls in Yonkers and Rye, New York through October 1914.

- Temple Duncan (1898-1975) was the niece of dancer Isadora Duncan. Her father, Augustin Duncan, was Isadora's older brother. In 1913 he and his second wife, Margherita Sargent Duncan, went to Europe with their baby son Angus and Temple, remaining until the outbreak of World War I. During this period Temple was a pupil at Elizabeth Duncan's School in Darmstadt, Germany.
