Papers of the dancer, Gisella Caccialanza, including letters, cards, photographs, certificates, and memorabilia relating chiefly to her relationship with her teacher, Enrico Cecchetti.
The letters to Gisella, Maria, and Romeo Caccialanza from Cecchetti (ca. 1926-28) have been translated into English and published in Dance perspectives, no. 45, 1971, as "Letters from the Maestro Enrico Cecchetti to Gisella Caccialanza." Several photographs in the collection have also been published in the above.
Other correspondents include Attilia Radice (whose letters, ca. 1928, are also in the above publication), Cia Fornaroli Toscanini, and Cyril W. Beaumont. Materials relating to the Cecchetti Society and the Cecchetti Centennial (1950) are also included.
