- Summary
- Prints include advertisements, portraits, illustrations and sentimental subjects, and depict a sailor on a pier; a woman and a lighthouse; street scenes in New York, including women (presumably prostitutes) smoking and a cigar store; a satire on smoking showing busy street scene including Afro-Americans, with women holding their noses against the smoke; satire showing Martin Van Buren and a farmer looking at sow with piglets labelled after various political patrons; a bachelor in reverie in front of his hearth; a boy sneaking a sip of a sleeping man's drink; portrait of the artist Frank Duveneck.
