Charles Weidman speaks with Agnes de Mille about Martha Graham, including her family and her very early career as a Denishawn dancer; Miss Ruth's [Ruth St. Denis's] dancing; Ted Shawn and the curriculum at the Denishawn School; performing with Graham in Irene Lewisohn's programs [in New York City]; working with Graham; Lewisohn's work A pagan poem, including an anecdote about a rehearsal with Graham; an anecdote about Henry Fonda; more on Graham's mother; Doris Humphrey's relationship with her husband [ends abruptly].
