Adam Clayton Powell; the Dance Theatre of Harlem and its tour to Spoleto; experiencing racism; costuming Mr. Mitchell's Holberg suite; the process of working with choreographers and building costumes from sketches; George Balanchine's Bugaku; teaching dance students to sew; Bill Blass; open houses at Dance Theatre of Harlem; Pamela Allen; Fashion Designers of America; dying tights to match dancers' skin tones; pointe shoe maintenance; fundraising for the Dance Theatre of Harlem; performing in Giselle; and Frederic Franklin.
