- Biography
- Henry Irving was a British actor-manager. In 1878, he took over the lease of London's Lyceum Theatre and hired Ellen Terry as the company's leading lady. This partnership lasted for 25 years and was renowned throughout England and the United States. Bram Stoker, Henry Irving's manager and personal assistant, who also acted as the Lyceum's business manager, was responsible for most of the arrangements for the company's tours in the United States and Canada. Stoker is now remembered as author of the novel DRACULA.
