Ballerina Tatiana Grantzeva discusses her dance background; dancing with the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo; Maurice Béjart's company and school; the Ballet du XXe Siècle touring schedule; Béjart's style and his insistence on clean ballet technique; how the strength of the male ensemble is due to Asaf Messerer's teaching at the Mudra school; Béjart's loathing of tutus; and the company's future plans.
Ben Sommers discusses the 1967 Capezio Dance Award winner, Paul Taylor; how the winner is chosen; and previous award winners. A representative of the State Department discusses Paul Taylor's State Department tour; budget cuts and their effect on future tours. Tape includes Paul Taylor's brief acceptance speech.
