Summary
46 full-length studio portrait photographs (halftones) by Krausz, each accompanied by a page of text. Subjects are men, women and children commonly seen on the streets of Chicago, photographed with objects of their occupations; include workmen, newspaper boys, street vendors, street musicians, representatives of various ethnic groups and social classes, etc. In all, 23 texts are by Krausz; others (some in verse) are by Le Roy Armstrong, Charles Eugene Banks, Edgar C. Blum, Sam T. Clover, Franklin H. Head, George Horton, Ben King, James Maitland, John McGovern, Ed. R. Pritchard, Opie Read, John Ritchie, Wolf von Schierbrand, Stanley Waterloo, Frank B. Welch and C.B. Whitford.
